Enjoy hands-on, practical work and a good sort-through of donated treasures? Help our stores receive, sort and prepare donated goods for sale, from cleaning and pricing to spotting the odd hidden gem. A few hours a week and a willingness to get stuck in are all it takes.

Enjoy being out and about and meeting people? Help our stores collect and deliver donated and purchased goods, keeping the vehicle tidy and customers and donors feeling valued along the way. A current clean driver’s licence and a few hours a week are all it takes to keep our stores running smoothly.

Deliver specialist beds and equipment to help keep patients comfortable and at home. You will work in pairs across Hastings and Napier. A caring manner, a clean driver’s licence and a reasonable level of fitness are all it takes to make a real difference for patients and whānau.

Enjoy hands-on, practical work? Help keep our fleet of vehicles clean, tidy and road-ready for the teams who visit patients and whānau across our community. A few hours a fortnight, a clean driver’s licence and an eye for detail are all it takes to make a real difference behind the scenes.

Help patients capture the stories and memories that matter most by listening, recording and helping shape them into a life story book, letters or a eulogy for their family to treasure—a meaningful role for a good listener with strong people skills.

Love gardening? Help maintain the peaceful gardens that bring comfort to patients, families and visitors at Cranford Hospice, from weeding and pruning to planting and general upkeep. Just a few hours on a Wednesday morning are all it takes to help create an inviting space.

Have a way with flowers? Bring your creativity to Cranford Hospice, arranging fresh blooms for public spaces and cheerful posies for patients’ meal trays. Just a couple of mornings a month and a love of flowers are all it takes to make the hospice feel warm and welcoming.

Help keep Cranford Hospice feeling like home by ensuring fresh linen and clothing are always on hand for patients. A practical, hands-on role you can do independently, with daily shifts available to fit around your week.

Help bring comfort through a meal by working alongside our Cook and InPatient Unit team to prepare and deliver meals to patients with care and attention to detail. Morning and evening shifts are available daily, making it easy to fit around your week while helping patients and whānau feel looked after.

Handy with tools and enjoy fixing things? Help keep Cranford Hospice safe, welcoming and well maintained by tackling small repairs and maintenance tasks around the hospice. Flexible hours and a practical, can-do attitude are all it takes.

Love meeting people and putting them at ease? Be one of the first friendly faces visitors see at Cranford Hospice, helping with reception and light admin over the weekend. A warm, welcoming manner in person and over the phone on weekends or public holidays is all it takes to make a real difference.
