Cranford Hospice is a place of heart. It was built on a strong foundation of community spirit, care and respect. Its story is a tribute to the many thousands of people who have been a part of Cranford Hospice in any way.
Today Cranford Hospice has more than 75 staff who work hard to help improve the lives of our patients. We also rely on our 400 dedicated volunteers who support us in so many ways – from helping with administration tasks, tending to the hospice gardens, working in our retail stores, supporting staff or assisting with fundraising events.

To access our services, you’ll need to be referred and accepted into our care. First-time referrals and re-referrals can be made by the person, whānau, a loved one, or a health professional.
To be referred to Cranford Hospice for care, the person needs to:
- agree to the referral, or their Enduring Power of Attorney (EPOA) agrees on their behalf.
- have an advanced terminal illness.

Referrals are processed Monday to Friday, and one of our team members will be in touch within one to two working days.
