Volunteering

Tūao mai

Volunteers are an essential part of Cranford Hospice and the care we provide across Hawke’s Bay. From practical help to meaningful connection, their contribution helps make hospice care possible. Quite simply, we couldn’t do what we do without them.

Get involved

Each year, more than 600 volunteers generously give their time, skills and compassion to support patients and whānau through some of life’s most challenging moments.

There are many ways to get involved, whether that’s supporting our retail stores, helping in our gardens, assisting with fundraising events, lending a hand with administration, or spending time with patients through programmes such as life reviews.

Some volunteers give their time regularly, while others support us occasionally throughout the year. Whatever your availability, there are opportunities to make a real difference.

We value our volunteers deeply and provide training, support and guidance to help you feel confident in the role you choose.

Volunteering with Cranford Hospice is a meaningful way to give back to your community, meet like-minded people, and help ensure local families continue to receive compassionate care and support when they need it most.
