Life Review Volunteers

Life Review Volunteers

Life review work has been shown to enhance the meaning and quality of a patient’s life and to provide them and their family with an ongoing ‘legacy’. Our trained life review volunteers assist our patients to produce a variety of legacy items including their life story book, letters for family and friends and eulogies. Volunteers record a patient’s memories and transcribe and edit these to produce a book or letters which are treasured by the patient and their family.

Volunteers undergo full training for their role and ongoing support is provided by the volunteer coordinator, supervision meetings and the family support team.
