New Year, New Chairperson for Cranford Hospice
Cranford Hospice Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Board Chair. Andrea Jopling takes over from Frané Rosandich who retired after being Chairperson of the Trust for the past five years.
Jopling was appointed as a trustee in 2017 has been Deputy Chair for the past five years. She has a background in senior management and consulting in the health care sector in addition to being a director of the Heretaunga Building Society and a member of the Hawke’s Bay Wine Auction Trust.
Jopling says, “As the Chair of Cranford Hospice I acknowledge the work of those who have come before me and assume leadership of an organisation that is in good heart. I look forward to Cranford continuing to provide high quality and holistic specialist palliative care services for the people of Te Matau a Māui—Hawke’s Bay.”
She continues, “Cranford is incredibly grateful and indebted to Frané for his years of voluntary service and his compassion and leadership will be greatly missed by the Board and staff alike.”
Cranford Hospice Trust and Cranford Hospice Foundation made the decision to pivot from the intended new site at Chesterhope station in Pakowhai following Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023, and are actively seeking an appropriate new location for the hospice base and inpatient unit.
