Become a Trustee for Cranford Hospice
Cranford Hospice Trust (CHT) provides specialist palliative care to the Hawke’s Bay community. Our mission is to provide the very best specialist palliative care and bereavement support, with commitment, collaboration and compassion. CHT has an annual revenue over $8m and employs approximately 75 people. We have embarked on a legacy project to build a new home for Cranford Hospice, making this an exciting time to join our Board.
We are seeking a new trustee to enhance our strong governance team. We’d really like to hear from people with professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Commercial or large-scale residential property development/management.
- Health equity, tikanga and/or iwi relationships.
- Prior governance experience while desirable, is not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic leadership of the CHT.
- Ensure robust governance and oversight of the organisation’s operations.
- Champion the values and mission of Cranford Hospice.
- Contribute your skills and time to selected sub-committees.
- Fundraising and connecting with the community.
Commitment Required
The CHT Board meets once a month for two to three hours, usually in person, and there is some work and preparation time required between meetings. Being a trustee on the CHT board is a voluntary position, and trustees need to have the time and energy to commit to being part of an active member of the governance team for a three-year term. Being a CHT trustee means connecting with the community and making yourself available to attend key community events.
