Annual Report 2020/21
Annual Report 2020/21
On Thursday 16th December, Cranford Hospice held its 2020/21 Annual General Meeting.
Reflecting on the year that has gone by, it is inspiring to see the resilience of the Cranford Hospice community. Where 2019/20 brought many new challenges in the form of Covid-19, 2020/21 has shown the strength and adaptability of our people. We have remained focused on walking alongside our patients, improving the quality of life that remains for each of them.
It is with pride that I see our people daily live out our vision to help people make the most of living and dying within a compassionate community. To be compassionate is to recognise the distress of others and then take action to help. This is the core of who we are as individuals and a collective organisation.
In this uncertain world, we can offer you one certainty: we will always provide the very best specialist palliative care and support, personalised to each individual and their whānau. It is humbling to work in all circumstances to alleviate distress and help the patients and their families who we support to make the most of their life. We continue to seek understanding of what matters most to each individual and to focus on the person and their whānau, rather than their illness.
