The design of our new hospice puts patients and whānau at its heart.
We were fortunate to receive a generous offer from the Joan Fernie Charitable Trust for a secluded rural site ‘Chesterhope’, located at Pakowhai, midway between Napier and Hastings. The established gardens – the Joan Fernie Gardens and Arboretum – provide a tranquil setting for patients and their whānau to receive the very best compassionate care and support that we’re known for.
After extensive consultation with our clinical and family support teams, Architecture HDT will create a purpose-designed facility that will meet the needs of the people of Hawke’s Bay, now and in the future.
