Handyman
About the role
Are you handy with tools and enjoy fixing, building or maintaining things?
We’re looking for a practical and reliable volunteer to help keep Cranford Hospice safe, welcoming and well maintained. From small repairs and maintenance tasks to identifying areas that need attention, your skills will help maintain a comfortable environment for patients, families/whānau, staff and volunteers.
This role would suit someone with general DIY skills who enjoys working independently and takes pride in a job well done.
Time commitment
Flexible hours, as required.
What you’ll bring
- Checking with Reception for maintenance tasks that require attention.
- Completing small repairs and DIY projects to a good standard.
- Identifying maintenance issues and advising when specialist expertise may be required.
- Helping keep hospice facilities, furnishings and outdoor areas tidy and well maintained.
- Safely using, storing and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Following Cranford Hospice health and safety procedures at all times.
