Retail Drivers
About the role
Our four Cranford Hospice stores are looking for Retail Drivers to help collect and deliver donated goods and purchased items for our customers.
You’ll work closely with the Store Manager to coordinate collection and delivery schedules, ensuring goods are collected and delivered safely and efficiently. You’ll also welcome and thank donors and customers at collection and delivery points, complete the vehicle logbook and help keep the vehicle clean, tidy, fuelled and well maintained.
This is a practical and varied volunteer role, suited to someone who enjoys being out and about, meeting people and working as part of a team. The role can involve moving and handling donated goods, so a reasonable level of physical ability is required.
A full and current New Zealand driver licence is essential.
Time commitment
Ideally, you will be able to commit to a minimum of 3.5 hours per week. Shifts available in our stores:
- Hastings—Monday to Friday, 9.45am–1.15pm OR 1–4:30pm.
- Napier—Monday to Friday, 9.45am – 1pm OR 1pm-4pm.
- Onekawa—Monday to Friday, 10am – 2pm.
- Waipukurau—Monday to Friday, 10am-1pm OR 1pm-4pm.
What you’ll bring
- A full and current New Zealand driver licence.

- Good communication skills and a friendly, helpful manner.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different customers and situations.
- The ability to work safely and follow relevant procedures.
- The physical ability to safely assist with the collection and delivery of goods.
