When no funeral or tangi can be held

Not being able to have a funeral, tangi or farewell gathering for a loved one or friend can be extremely distressing and painful.

However, until such time as restrictions are lifted and gatherings are possible again, it’s unfortunately part of the new normal in New Zealand.

The Funeral Directors Association of NZ have published a guide about what can be done to support people through these next few weeks.

We recommend reading this guide and sharing with families who may find this information helpful at this time.

For Cranford Hospice patients and families, the Family Support Team are still supporting people, so please make sure you reach out for help if you need it.
