The Development and Engagement Team at Cranford Hospice lead the fundraising, retail, communications and volunteering programmes. Together this time raises around $3 million a year to help keep palliative care services free of charge to the people of Hawke’s Bay. This role will help provide a great supporter experience, as well as sound administration support to the team.

The Organisation

Cranford Hospice Trust is focused on being leaders in specialist palliative care.  We are committed to providing person and whānau-centred care for the Hawke’s Bay community. We have an in-patient unit, community outreach services, bereavement, and grief support.  The work is varied and offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients, and their families and whānau. We have a team of around 80 paid employees and a volunteer army of around 400 across our Hastings base and the 3 retail charity shops. 

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Database experience
  • Digital literacy, particularly knowledge in Word Press, social media, and the Microsoft Office suite of applications, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills; and the ability to prioritise task to meet deadlines and effectively manage changing priorities
  • Excellent verbal & written communicator
  • Customer Service experience
  • Able to work as a member of a successful team working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • A full NZ Driver’s licence
